Hanae Mori

 

The Japan's most respectable and prominent fashion designer Hanae Mori was born in January 8, 1926. As the only Japanese woman she has presented her collections on the runways of Paris and New York. She is also the first and only Asian woman, who has been admitted as an official haute couture design house by the Fédération Française de la Couture in France. Being one of the most honored female designer in and one of the first women to have a grand career in Japan, she became an icon of the liberated women. Her fashion house was opened in Japan in 1951 and today it is estimated to be an international business worth of more than $500 million.
